It’s Third Thursday Challenge time again!
This month I made a sketch and have only one requirement that you keep in mind when you make it – and that is the color – PINK! You can do a card, layout or any type of project that loosely follows this sketch.
Why pink? With October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it was only fitting that we join in to call awareness to the disease, the importance of early detection and to finding a cure.
This challenge will last for the rest of the month. You can upload your photos to the LinkyTool at the bottom of this post until midnight on October 31st (you know you’ll be on a sugar high and up late anyways!). We will randomly choose a winner on Thursday, November 1st. The winner will receive some awesome CraftySteals goodies.
If you’d like to take this challenge a step further, you can mail your card (with words of encouragement) to Girls Love Mail. Girls Love Mail puts your card into a special envelope and delivers them to cancer centers. When a patient is newly diagnosed, these notes will be given to them by staff at these centers, hospitals and doctor’s offices.
The requirements are simple – make them universal (refrain from any religious or non-inclusive wording), start them with “Dear Sister” or “Dear Friend”, hand write them, and make sure they can fit in a 4.75″ x 6.5″ envelope. Here are the details on what to say in your notes. You can send them to:
Girls Love Mail
2330 E. Bidwell Street, Suite 200

If you check out their website, you can see the map of where the cards are coming from. What a gift to give to a person who is facing such a difficult path!
Here are two cards that I made for Girls Love Mail, and sent off earlier this week.
Materials used: My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist, CraftyBasics Grey Washi Tape, Fiskars 1 1/4″ Punch, Jenni Bowlin Butterfly Punch, Stampin’ Up Curly Cute Stamps
Have a great Thursday.
